BeamMe.info: Send stuff to your Mobile Phone

BeamMe.info allows you to place a “send to mobile” button on your website which will then text information from your website to the user’s mobile device. How many times have you been on a website and wanted to text some information from that site to your mobile for future use? Well I can’t honestly say I have wanted to do that, but is that because such a service never existed or because it doesn’t seem practical?

This simple service does have me thinking a bit differently about the idea and application. I mean.. say you have a site that has a bunch of vital little tidbits of information like a great restaurant. It could take items in a menu and add a little send-to-mobile button on the site. Then as your surfing the menu at work before you head home you could click your favorite dishes have them texted to your phone. Hmm.. ok, I guess that doesn’t work to well because why wouldn’t you call from work or wait till you got home? Continue…
