Save some Money on the Holidays: Shoppingnotes.com

With the Holidays here and the giving and shopping season upon us, we could all use a little help. ShoppingNotes.com which is in beta right now is a great little application where you know what product you want, but are waiting on a particular price. It is perfect for the shopaholics waiting to get a good deal. As they say on the website, “never miss a sale again, get alerts when prices drop.”

The interface to the site is really one page where you add the product page url and your email address. You can add more than one product page link and even create an account, though an account isn’t necessary. When you do this you will get emails to that product letting you know the price has dropped or even if the price has gone up. It’s pretty cool and runs itself while you work.

If you decide to create an account, there is even a little bookmarklet which you can add to your web browser. When you are on a product page just click the bookmarklet and presto the product alert will start being sent to your inbox and also added to your account. So it is like a bookmark service for products you are thinking of buying. When the price is right and you get that email you easily click and buy from your chosen online retailer. Best of all the service and the site is free.

So save some money on those gifts this holiday season and try out Shoppingnotes.com and let me know what you think.
