Tech Stars - Written by Leslie Fishlock on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 16:25 - 3 Comments
Do YOU know of a Tech Star who deserves to be Here?
I am always being asked, “How do you choose the Tech Star Tuesday?”
Well, I find the coolest tech people out there or they find me and everyone answers the same 20 questions. It’s that EASY!
So I figured this week I would explain how the process works and get ALL of YOU to suggest some Tech Stars in the comments below!
We have not run out of cool and intriguing people – not for a long shot – but I just thought letting everyone now how it all works would be helpful, as well as getting all YOU tech geeks to suggest some unsung techie heroes for us to cover!
Remember, we are looking for ALL kinds of technology; Marine Science, Products, Alternative Energy, Internet, Web, Design, Programmers, Manufacturing, Energy Saving Technology, and more!
Put your Best Tech Star Geek forward for all of us to learn more about! See you next week!

Thanks, Dave. Greatly appreciate the suggestions! If you can forward any of their emails this way to my private email, I would be eternally grateful.

Dr. Laura Shulman, president and founder of Integrated Statistics, might be a great person to interview. She’s a real Geek Girl! Her company has been performing statistical analyses for various public and private research organizations, including GSA, EPA, NOAA, MBL and USGS since 1994. Here’s a link to their online history, with phone and email contact info: http://www.integratedstatistics.com/HistOver.htm
Jim Mingle, president and CEO of MyCareTeam, is another talented local with a fascinating background. Here’s his bio: http://www.mycareteam.com/about/team/JMingle.aspx If you’re interested in contacting him, LMK and I’ll send you his email addy.
I’d be interested in reading about talented high school and/or college students. One such young man, Neil Forrester, graduated from Falmouth HS this year. He’s been a summer lab assistant at WHOI and is a Perl and C++ developer.
