PageOnce: your accounts in one place your way

pageonce.pngPageOnce is a personal internet assistant. So, what is exactly is an internet assistant? It is probably one of the most needed web applications for us web junkies. If you’re like me and you have an account on Facebook, MySpace, Linkedin, Twitter, Pownce, and Plaxo just to name a few. You have probably had some trouble keeping track of all your accounts. Well this is where PageOnce comes in.

PageOnce is a very easy to use application that lets you put in all your online accounts
and then have one homepage to view the activity as well quick access into the account. The interesting thing is that it isn’t just your social network accounts, it allows you to enter in almost every online account with banks, entertainment, emails, and travel.

What you end up with is one page with an updated feed of any changes and or messages to your account and all the accounts listed by type on the screen. Check out the screen shot. PageOnce makes adding the accounts very simple. Just click on the plus sign choose or search for an account. Then add your credentials. It’s that easy. Now you have one login where you can see all your accounts with vital information, beats an iGoogle or Netvibes page.

The only nice to have’s would be more accounts, but it seems more are being added everyday. The other thing that would be cool is to be able to move around the types of boxes like with Netvibes. The added customization would make the slogan “Your internet, your way” feel more true.

PageOnce has taken $1.5 million dollars to create this great tool. The one big issue hindering the success of PageOnce is the trust issue. Everything on the site is using SSL and encrypted on the database end. They are Truste certified, Verisign, and Hacker Safe partners, which should help. I think as with any of these account aggregators the perception of trust needs to be part of their marketing. You need to prove to me that it is safe and I trust the third party site to add my credit card or bank information.

So, if you have many accounts and would like to consolidate everything, this may be the answer. Post a comment and I can send you an invite to try it out for yourself.

Hi Chris,
This sounds great, yes, security is the biggest issue, but would love to try it out…

Hi Reiko. I have sent you an invite so you can try it out for yourself. It does seem pretty handy and has the most accounts out there compared to other services trying the same thing.
