Who do you want to Jott™?
Jott™; is a free voice to text service that’s acts exactly like your own personal assistant.
Using Jott is as easy as:
From your phone with your voice
Call 1-866-JOTT-123, When asked who you would like to Jott, say “Myself”, After the beep, say your message and hang up. You are sent an email and or text message with the great idea or reminder. Get back to your office and log that thought.
Click here and scroll to the bottom for a sample Jott.
I have been using Jott for about six months and I’ve got to tell you, it is one of those web products that I just couldn’t not go without these days. I was introduced to the package while trying to widdle down my Getting Things Done system.
I mainly use Jott to send myself reminders or to log a brilliant idea for that new Web 3.0 Social Network I have while on the road. Here are a few other ways people are using Jott in their lives:
Remind themselves of important things
Delegate tasks to people
Communicate with teams in one step
Record expenses
Record hours billed, and for what
Jott is also compatible with Sandy which Dave reviewed last week.
Take a look at Jott when you get a chance, it is a very easy to setup and you’ll be logging all those great ideas in no time.

Chris - I had not heard of Grand Central thanks for posting, looks cool. I’d love to see a review of GC if you are currently using it.
Yea, I have a bunch of invites and account which I setup but never use. I don’t have the phone issues that some might. I try to avoid the phone is at all possible.
I use Jott every day. I’m always thinking off things to do while driving in my car, so it’s super easy to call Jott (which is on my speed dial) and record my Note To Self right then, before I forget it. And then I am free to forget it!
Chris, I too have a Grand Central account which I never use. My cell number is my primary number, and that works for me so far. But I wanted to reserve myself a nice number on GC while I still could, in case I needed to use it SOMEDAY.
Jott sounds cool, but I’m picturing turning into Michael Keaton in Night Shift
Bill: What if you mix the mayonnaise in the can, WITH the tunafish? Or… hold it! Chuck! I got it! Take LIVE tuna fish, and FEED ‘em mayonnaise! Oh this is great.
[speaks into tape recorder]
Bill: Call Starkist!

I’ve been using Jott for months, it is incredibly useful for those of us that spend too much time in cars and can’t get pulled over (again) for typing on laptops and driving :-|
Just for the record the last time this happened, I was talking to Jim Hill!

Have you seen GrandCentral.com? It was bought by google and is very similar allows you to combine all your phone numbers into one central place where you can receive and route calls. Thanks for the idea, I’ll have to try it.
