Pretty interesting… Thanks for the link. I think we will be seeing a lot more of these sites and uses of technology. Not sure if you saw the video post from last week about Make Me sustainable. It is a widget in Facebook as well as working with companies to use the sustainability tracking concept in a viral marketing campaign for businesses. http://www.atbar.com/02/02/2008/webinno-16-make-me-sustainable/

I’m finding more and more sites like the one you describe, Chris. I recently visited http://www.earthmoment.com and found the information I’ve inserted below. Talk about making a difference even easier!
EarthMoment is a no-cost internet portal that allows customers to purchase their favorite products and services from their favorite online retailers, while fighting climate change with each purchase.
EarthMoment provides a way for consumers to offset personal contributions to global climate change. We have teamed up with more than 1,000 companies to offer you 15 million products and services. Each of our company partners pays a commission to EarthMoment, half of which we donate to investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects around the country/world. These investments are managed by Carbonfund.org, one of the world’s leading carbon offset charities.
EarthMoment is owned by the eco-conscious company, Ogden Publications and online loyalty specialist Moment Marketing Inc. Ogden Publications is one of the foremost publishing companies addressing issues of sustainability, health and the environment. With highly respected and conscientious publications such as Utne Reader, Mother Earth News and Natural Home, Ogden’s magazines have been leaders and innovators in the environmental movement for more than three decades. To continue this tradition, Ogden Publications started EarthMoment in partnership with Moment Marketing to provide an easy, engaging and simple way for people to reduce the ongoing threat of global climate change.
