Illustrator & Photoshop: Fun frames with clipping paths
If you tend to separate your Adobe® Creative Suite like a kid separates his food on a plate—never interacting with one another, this tip will have you thinking overlapping applications is a good thing.
For this tip, I’m using vector artwork created in Illustrator and will be placing it into Photoshop to mask an image, leaving me with a funky edge. This tip works well anytime you want to insert different photos in the same layout without recreating effects over and over.

Aloha! Roy’s Hawaiian Martini and Ahi Poke!
It seems as though Hawaii was so long ago – when in actuality it was just last month. I miss the clear blue beaches, the gorgeous flowers found only on the island, the divine sunsets and of course, the martinis at Roy’s Restaurant. There really is much to love about our 50th state. Besides the obvious beauty, I never saw anything icky I normally encounter on Cape Cod; ticks, snakes, mosquitoes, coyotes, raccoons, 90 year old ladies driving Lincoln Continentals with Florida license plates in which you only see hands on the steering wheel, yet no visible head…
This martini is just so darn good – anytime you can mix two different alcoholic beverages is always a cause for excitement! This recipe is best when you marinate the pineapples in the liquor for at least 2 days, you’ll find that it’s well worth the wait. A large glass jar or even a big glass would work beautifully. Malibu rum works very well!

Do you know a Tech Star who should be here?

(We sent this out last June and got a slew of talented folks so we are doing it again! If you know of anyone, send them this way!)
I am always being asked, “How do you choose the Tech Star Tuesday?”
Well, I find the coolest tech people out there or they find me and everyone answers the same 20 questions. It’s that EASY!
So I figured this week I would explain how the process works and get ALL of YOU to suggest some Tech Stars in the comments below!
We have not run out of cool and intriguing people – not for a long shot – but I just thought letting everyone now how it all works would be helpful, as well as getting all YOU tech geeks to suggest some unsung techie heroes for us to cover!
